My Wave Addiction is a 501 (c) (3) nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles. We create events and programs that promote environmentally conscious living. Our focus is on the individual, and we believe that the actions of individuals on a grand scale can have a high positive impact on the world around us.
Our mission is to lead individuals to live more ocean minded lifestyles in the South Bay, the greater Los Angeles area, and beyond.
In early 2015, Cameron Brown made a decision to only go surfing by way of his bike for one year to create awareness about the ability that individual surfers have to lower their carbon emissions. That decision prompted him to organize a Bike to Surf Week event that inspired surfers from all around the world, and My Wave Addiction entered the nonprofit, action-oriented realm.
When he’s not organizing such events, he’s usually writing about a wide array of interests on his blog which include surfing, sustainability, technology, travel, and life in general.
He is also co-creator of Cleantech Rising, an email newsletter that delivers information about the latest clean technologies and sustainable innovations.
